Welcome to the new WEA Illawarra Ramblers website. We hope that you will find it easy to use and, in particular, to check for upcoming activities. We will be publishing an online version of the quarterly newsletter, as well as continuing to send out a hard copy program to those members who have paid for the printed version.
One of the advantages of the new website is that any changes or additions to the program can now be made online as they come to hand. We can also keep in touch with members by posting notices to the website – and you will automatically be notified by email.
The list of activities can now be viewed on the Activities page, click on the name of the activity to see more details. You need to be logged in to see the Leaders List for contact phone numbers. Click on the print icon to print out the list of activities and the Leaders List.
The Weather button on the menu links you to the Weatherzone site for a live update of the weather forecast.
Leaders needing to submit activities for forthcoming programs can now do so online – go to the Forms page, select the online version of the Activity Submission Form, fill in all the details and Submit. Your submission will automatically be sent to Chris English.
We are also planning to have online Membership Applications and Renewals (via the WEA website) available for the 2015 Memberships.
If you are using a PC screen, you should be able to see the full webpage. For example, you will see the row of menu buttons across the top of the screen. If you are using a smaller device, eg a tablet or smart phone, the screen will dynamically change size to suit your device. For example, the menu buttons across the screen will be reduced to one (green) button which you need to touch or click on to bring up the full menu.
The new website means that we are changing the way we do things. In particular, it will be easier for us to communicate with our members and we will have more flexibility in the way in which we manage the activities program. We hope that over time, you will find it much easier to stay in touch and check out the Club’s program of activities online.
